The Lamborghini Super Trofeo season ends for Bonaldi Motorsport with the second place conquered by Pull-Snoeks in the second World Final race, a placement however that leaves a lot of bitterness…
Campagnano di Roma (ITA). The Lamborghini Super Trofeo season could end in an excellent way for Bonaldi Motorsport: the team from Bergamo could, in fact, have won the World title with the crew Pull-Snoeks, second at the finish line in the second race, if a misunderstanding of the Dutch driver had forced the race direction to expose the black flag and to exclude the car number 3 from the race 1 standings. Having taken any point was then fatal to gain the World title. The key moment is in the middle of race 1 when, due to an alleged irregularity in the pit stop procedure, the race direction imposes Snoeks, which occupies the third position after taking the car from an excellent Pull, a drive trough: the Dutch driver does not stop and the black flag comes inexorably. Partial satisfaction in the second race: after a chaotic start that requires the entry of the safety car, Snoeks takes second position consolidating it until the pit stop; the pit stop is perfect with Pull keeping the second place until the checkered flag.
The weekend of Vallelunga, as well as assigning World titles, has ended the season of Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe with the last two races: in race 1 Pull was involved in a contact after a few turns from the start that forced him to withdrawal, same fate in race 2 due to a puncture to the rear right tire when missing a few minutes to the checkered flag.
A season that could end with the World title, instead it ended with a second place in the second race that has the flavor of nothing. It was not a positive season and at this moment the bitterness is greater than the satisfaction…
