Bonaldi Motorsport couple of drivers, Florian Spengler and Emanuele Zonzini, ended their last ADAC GT Masters race on the thirteenth position. Best wishes to the French driver Gounon who underwent a bad accident.
Different weather today compared to the rainy one of yesterday to welcome the cars in the last seasonal Qualifying Practice of ADAC GT Masters. In fact, it was not raining this morning but the racetrack was still wet. To drive the yellow Bonaldi Motorsport Huracán car during Qualifying Practice was Emanuele Zonzini, who shared the driving with Florian Spengler. The driver from San Marino was great in placing on the absolute sixth place during his fifth lap. Just after his qualification, the red flag was waved: nearly eight minutes before the end of the qualifying session and on a more and more performing racetrack, the restart of the session was extremely hardened…
Zonzini could improve his result. However, he could not confirm the previous position and ended on the sixteenth place.
The sun welcomed the twenty-five cars which took part to Race 2 in Hockenheim ending the 2016 season of the German GT championship. The start was particularly compact in the leading positions. Zonzini was eighteenth after the first lap. He was clever to tailgate the cars racing before his and after the pit stop turnover, the Huracán no. 32, which was then driven by Spengler, gained some positions reaching the thirteenth place. A bad accident happened to Jules Gounon in the very first positions forced the race control to interrupt the race waving the red flag to allow first aid to the unlucky French driver to whom best wishes are addressed. The race restarted fifteen minutes before the end and Spengler was looking for points. At the end of the race, the strong German driver was able to keep his thirteenth position after a series of emotional duels.
