After the summer break, the Lamborghini Super Trofeo restarts the engines at Nurburgring: Bonaldi Motorsport defends Afanasiev-Kroes’ leadership in the championship and runs third with Bartholomew-Middleton…
Bergamo (ITA). Four victories in the last four races: this is Bonaldi Motorsport’s impressive results in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo before the summer break. After the double win of Afanasiev-Kroes pair at Zandvoort, the British pair Bartholomew-Middleton won Race 1 in the last round at Spa and the Russian-Dutch pair gained the third seasonal victory in Race 2. Thanks to Spa’s results, Sergey Afanasiev and Danny Kroes took the lead in the championship standings with a margin of thirteen points on the immediate pursuers, while Jack Bartholomew and Stuart Middleton rose to third place just five points from second place.
When the next weekend’s Nurburgring round and the World Final’s Jerez round are missing at the end of the season, winning in the championship is now restricted to the top four pairs in the standings and Bonaldi Motorsport has both arrows in its bow.
We are first in the championship and we have a good margin of advantage, but we must continue in this way if we want to win it
PRO Cup Standings: 1. Afanasiev-Kroes 98; 2. Galbiati-Postiglione 85; 3. Bartholomew-Middleton 80; 4. Basz-Paziewski 79; 5. Lagrange-Lambert 43.
