The university of driving on SPA racetrack graduated Kujala and Amstutz with honour. Excellent race for Rolf Ineichen and Martin Kodric who, after a strong fight, placed fourth and fifth.
Yesterday the racetrack was occasionally dry and occasionally wet. Today the same situation occurred: Qualifying Practise was raced on a wet track while the race was done on a dry racetrack. Bonaldi Motorsport flagship drivers really did well: Kujala obtained a fabulous Pole Position with more than a second on his direct pursuer, the French driver Armindo. Ineichen placed third at only 337 hundredths from the French driver. Lightly behind, Kodric placed thirteenth.
Kujala performed a masterful start in Race 1. He kept his first position without any problems. Ineichen performed a marvellous start as well which pushed him immediately after his teammate. However, the braking at “La Source” curve was not so lucky and so he was forced to leave his position. In the positions immediately after the leading group, Kodric performed a magnificent start gaining four positions just after the first lap. The first laps were raced behind the safety car. When the race started again, Kujala checked the situation while Ineichen and MacLeod went on jostling till the pit stop when the Swiss driver incredibly joined the race again after the imperfect braking at the Bus Stop. As to Kodric, he continued his race undismayed gaining positions till placing sixth. The leader car went back to the pit at the lap no. 10. During the first lap after the pit stops, Amstutz, which replaced Kujala, gained twenty-five seconds on his direct pursuers. Unfortunately, Ineichen was forced to leave one position and so, just after their pit stops, the Swiss and the Croatian drivers were fourth and fifth, respectively. When the race was coming to the end, the traffic on the racetrack complicated the situation. Postiglione could draw near the two Lamborghini Huracàn cars of the team from Bergamo and pass them during the seventeenth lap. Two minutes before the end of the race Rolf Ineichen and Kodric inflamed their fight with braking at the limit and a light accident at the Bus Stop chicane. Amstutz crossed the finish line with a wide distance from the second-placed driver while Ineichen gained an excellent fifth postion followed by the combative driver Kodric at only 339 hundredths from his teammate. Today race was rich in satisfaction and emotions on a racetrack which enhanced the skills of Bonaldi Motorsport’s drivers and team.
