Bonaldi Motorsport accepts and takes on this challenge deploying four crews in the opening round in Monza to compete in all the categories of the Super Trofeo.
Monza “home” circuit is hosting the opening round of Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo next weekend. With 2014 and 2015 World and European triumphs by Milos Pavlovic and Patrick Kujala, respectively, Bonaldi Motorsport not only accepts the series challenge but takes it on again for this season. In fact, the team from Bergamo will be competing with four Huracàn LP 620-2 Super Trofeo aiming at the final victory in all the categories of the championship.
Car no. 3 and PRO category for Ricardo Vera: the 23-year-old Puerto Rican driver showed his qualities at the Lamborghini World Final in Sebring last season. He placed third in the World Final and second in the European one. The very young Croatian Martin Kodric is competing in PRO category as well: car no. 32 for this driver who is expected to work well after his 2015 season in an extremely competitive championship as the Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0. Car no. 33 for Mark Ineichen, the Swiss gentleman driver who certainly aims at the victory in AM category after his final second place last year. Extraordinary crew for the challenge in PRO-AM category: Adrian Amstutz, the Swiss driver placed third in the last championship, will incredibly share his Huracàn car no. 34 with Patrick Kujala! The great show is surely going to start…
Launched in 2009, Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo format consists in two races of 50 minutes each. The starting grid is determined by two Qualifying Sessions. Drivers are free to compete alone or in a couple. In case of a couple, drivers will drive half race each.
After our triumphs in the last two seasons, I can’t avoid saying that we aim at the same results in 2016 or, if possible, even at improving by winning in all the Super Trofeo categories. Of course Monza is the ideal occasion for our supporters to come and see us on the move!
The weekend timetable starts with Free Practice on Friday, 22nd April at 11.15 a.m. and at 3.15 p.m.; on Saturday, 23rd April Qualifying Practice takes place starting from 10.10 a.m. and Race 1 is at 3.20 p.m. On Sunday, 24th April Race 2 starts at 1.15 p.m.
