Lamborghini Super Trofeo, a double win at Imola!

Bonaldi Motorsport’s Lamborghini Super Trofeo season kicks off with a double: Loris Spinelli and Max Weering win both races in Imola, positive weekend also for Biglieri-Parolini in ProAm and Mur in the LC Cup…

Imola (ITA). Bonaldi Motorsport’s Lamborghini Super Trofeo season started in the best possible way with Loris Spinelli and Max Weering winning both races of the weekend, despite making their debut with the Bergamo-based team. In race 1, the Bonaldi Motorsport crew remained in the lead for all 27 laps completed, after starting from pole position thanks to Spinelli who shattered the track record dating back to 2017. In the second race, affected by three safety cars, the crucial overtaking move came ten minutes before the end. In the ProAm Cup, newcomers Paolo Biglieri and Pietro Perolini showed a steady improvement and the result of race 2 could have been much better if not for the penalty at the end of the race. Pleasantly surprising was the performance of the rookie Sandro Mur who came close to the podium in both races.

It was definitely a great start to the season with a pole position and two wins! The car has been prepared flawlessly, I had a lot of fun. I’d like to thank my team-mate who played a significant role in the success, and the guys at Bonaldi Motorsport for their excellent work.

We got off to a great start, but the championship is obviously still long!

It has been a challenging weekend considering that we tested the car for the first-time last week. I’m very happy with the team and the car and I think we will become more and more competitive race after race.

I’m really satisfied with the team that helped me a lot and gave me an outstanding car. For me this was my debut race, and I wouldn’t have ever imagined fighting for the podium.

We are satisfied with the first race weekend as all the objectives have been achieved. Sandro Mur, who made his racing debut, performed very well both in terms of race pace and handling the car under race condition. Paolo Biglieri, making his return to racing after several years, and Pietro Perolini who made championship debut, both performed well over the weekend. As for Loris Spinelli and Max Weering, the goal was to win… and that’s what they did!
