With the two races in Hockenheim Bonaldi Motorsport ended the prestigious and difficult ADAC GT Masters, the German GT championship.
ADAC GT Masters 2016 came to an end on the racetrack in Hockenheim: this competitive German championship represented a very prestigious but also risky challenge for Bonaldi Motorsport. The round in Hockenheim was dealt with usual enthusiasm. The crew composed by Florian Spengler and Emanuele Zonzini joint the track but the possibility to have a good result was compromised by another driver’s mistake. In fact, after an excellent qualifying session, the German driver Spengler was literally eliminated from the race when he was on the sixth position, due to a wrong operation by another driver. In general, the achievement of prestigious results has vanished by unpredictable events as this one during the whole year. But also mechanical problems and qualifying performances, which were below expectations, did the rest.
The best seasonal position is by the couple Patrick Kujala and Milos Pavlovic who placed eighth in Race 2 in Lausitzring. Besides, Kujala must be remembered also for his podium in Zandvoort where he placed third in Race 2 in the Junior standings. Spengler and Zonzini placed within the points zone only in Race 1 in Sachsenring where they reached the absolute tenth position.
This was a difficult year. We did not obtain the results we could be potentially have.
