Bergamo (ITA). The eleventh season of Lamborghini Super Trofeo opens this weekend on the English circuit of Silverstone and Bonaldi Motorsport relaunches the challenge with two international crews entered in the PRO category: the Huracàn number 3 will see on the drive the Dutchman Danny Kroes and the Russian Sergey Afanasiev, while on the number 32 will be the British drivers Stuart Middleton and Jack Bartholomew. Danny Kroes was born in Vijfhuizen near Haarlem on 5 November 1999: after competing and winning in karting, he made his car debut in 2016 by participating in the European and Spanish F4 Championship, while in 2017 and 2018 he was at the start of the European Championship and Benelux TCR . Born in Moscow on March 25 1988, Sergey Afanasiev has a high level professional career in which shines the title of FIA GT Series Pro-Am champion in 2013 and the title of Formula Russia champion in 2004; he was vice champion of Formula Renault 2.0 Switzerland in 2006 and of International Formula Master in 2009, while he finished third in the FIA F2 Championship in 2010 and in the Auto GP Championship in 2011.
The crew of the Huracàn number 32 is all English and very young. Stuart Middleton was born in Ashington on 11 October 1999 and already has significant results: in 2015 he won the title in the Ginetta Junior Winter Series Championship, in 2017 he won the British GT4 Championship and the Sunoco Whelen Challenge; he is runner-up in 2016 of the Ginetta Junior Championship and he is second in the European GT4 Championship in 2018. Jack Bartholomew was born in Lewes on September 21st 1998: after competing for seven years in the kart, gaining numerous successes, in 2016 he made his debut in the British GT4 Championship, finishing as vice-champion; from 2017 he is at the start of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo and in 2018 he won the title of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Middle-East.
The schedule of the weekend is starting with Free Practice on Friday, 10st May at 10.00 a.m. and at 3.40 p.m..
