The Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo is stopping at the French circuit Paul Ricard for the third round of the season. This track is one of the most famous circuits all over the world thanks to its “Courbe de Signes” where, during past Formula 1 races, drivers hastened till and over 340 km/h after the very long straight of Mistral. It is said that journalists used to meet at this curve to check which drivers could drive without decelerate neither for a fraction of a second. Ayrton Senna was said to be the only driver of the Formula 1 history to drive along the entire curve without removing his foot from the accelerator. He stepped on the gas starting from his beginning with Toleman team in 1984.
Bonaldi Motorsport has to defend Amstutz and Kujala’s record in the PRO-AM category during this French round. These two drivers have only three points more than the nearest pursuer but they showed to have the best performances of the category. Barbosa and Vera are required to confirm their positions in PRO-AM category as well, after their podium in Silverstone. The Croatian Martin Kodric is aiming at reaching the leading positions in PRO category and is going to France with renovated energies after his selection for the Young Drivers Program 2016 by Lamborghini Squadra Corse…
This is great news and it is a real honour to be offered this opportunity from such a prestigious brand as Lamborghini is. I am sure that taking part to the Young Drivers Program will let me improve my skills both on the track and outside it.
I have good expectations for this race and we are hoping to get back in the podium again and gain some points to be back on the championship race.
