Thanks to the double victory in Silverstone, the Finnish Patrick Kujala and the Swiss Adrian Amstutz are now leading the PRO-AM standings while the Croatian Martin Kodric is placed third in PRO standings just at few points from the top.
Start from scratch′ is the correct saying: in fact, for Bonaldi Motorsport the Silverstone round started in the worst way ever with a car out for the entire weekend but ended gloriously with Amstutz and Kujala’s double victory in the PRO-AM category and with Kodric’s podium, who reached absolute third position twice, as well as Barbosa and Vera, who were third in Race 1 in PRO-AM.
Thanks to the double English podium, the Croatian Martin Kodric, real showman of the two races, is now placed third in the general standings and he’s only eight points from the new leader, Vito Postiglione. Martin showed he can win and he is now competing for the 2016 title. In effect, the first four races highlighted that many drivers can win a single race and the championship is more than ever competitive. There are otherwise drivers that aim at winning the championship well in advance: the couple of drivers Amstutz-Kujala obtained double success in the PRO-AM category in Silverstone and they therefore gained eleven points on their following drivers. As to PRO-AM again, the two South American William Barbosa and Ricardo Vera entered the top ten with eighteen points and with their first podium in this season. Mark Ineichen, who was absent in Silverstone, is less high in the AM standings but the English results make the final third position highly possible for the Swiss driver.
Next round of Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo is scheduled on the French circuit Paul Ricard at the weekend of June, 26th.
This was a very positive weekend. Despite the initial difficulties, Amstutz and Kujala could join the races and they rewarded the team with two prestigious victories which led them to the top of the standings. The two other crews performed well too: Kodric showed that victory is within his reach. This goes for Barbosa and Vera as well…
