The third seasonal round of the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo can be summed up for Bonaldi Motorsport paraphrasing the Italian title of the latest film with Stefano Accorsi. This film is set in the GT racing world.
The wind is obviously the powerful Mistral which constantly blew on the Paul Ricard circuit while fast stands for Bonaldi Motorsport cars which had an extremely positive weekend on the French racetrack. The first positive result was made by the drivers Adrian Amstutz and Patrick Kujala who, with their fourth seasonal success in Race 1 and their third position in Race 2, confirmed their leadership in the PRO-AM category. In the PRO standings, thanks to the two podiums in France, Martin Kodric reached the third position alone gaining points on the second-placed driver and keeping his distance from the top of the standings which can be filled with the points given for a victory. The two South American drivers, William Barbosa and Ricardo Vera, had an unlucky race: after their good fifth position in Race 1, they were forced to drop out Race 2 and this obviously influenced the PRO-AM category standings. Jeroen Bleekemolen performed a positive debut: in couple with Rolf Ineichen he had the second best time in Race 1 Qualifying Practice and he performed a superb race. As to Rolf, he brilliantly ended Race 2 with a fourth absolute position.
This weekend was both nice and very fully well, as I raced also in the 1000 KM race. I am particularly satisfied with my performance in Race 2 where I gained several positions immediately at the start
and, after a good pit stop, I ended the race just near the podium!
Next Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo round is scheduled at the last weekend of July at the Belgium Spa-Francorchamps circuit.
